Smart Communications, Inc. is working with the PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), TV5 and local government units in bringing aid to families taking shelter in various evacuation centers.

The company’s encouraging the public to donate to TV5’s Alagang Kapatid Foundation. Ready-to-eat food, water, hygiene kits (bath soap, toothpaste, toothbrush), towels/blankets can be brought to the Alagang Kapatid Foundation Office at 730 Quirino Highway, San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City, or its other drop-off points.

Cash donations may be deposited through BDO Savings Account No. 005310-410164 or Bank of the Philippine Islands Savings Account No. 1443-05333-2 under the Account Name Alagang Kapatid Foundation, Inc.

Smart’s mobile subscribers may also send donations to Red Cross via SMS. They just have to text RED <amount> to 4143. Valid amounts are 10, 25, 50, 100, 300, 500 and 1000.
